On choisit $[-\pi ; \pi]$.
Si $x \in \left[-\pi ; -\frac{\pi}{2}\right] \cup \left[\frac{\pi}{2} ; \pi\right]$, $\cos x \le 0$ donc $f'(x) \le 0$ et si $x \in \left[-\frac{\pi}{2} ; \frac{\pi}{2}\right]$, $\cos x \ge 0$ donc $f'(x) \ge 0$.

THE SINUS FUNCTION
Definition 1: We call sine function, noted sin, the function defined on $\mathbb{R}$ by $x \mapsto \sin x$.
Property 1: The sine function is differentiable on $\mathbb{R}$ such that: $\forall x \in \mathbb{R},\ \sin'(x) = \cos x$.
Study of the function $f$: $x \mapsto \sin x$
Parity:
$\forall x \in \mathbb{R},\ f(-x) = \sin(-x) = -\sin x = -f(x)$ so $f$ is odd.
Periodicity:
$\forall x \in \mathbb{R},\ f(x+2\pi) = \sin(x+2\pi) = \sin x = f(x)$ therefore $f$ is periodic of period $2\pi$.
We can therefore reduce the study interval to an interval of length $2\pi$. We choose $[-\pi ; \pi]$.
Derivative:
The sine function $f$ is differentiable on $\mathbb{R}$ such that $\forall x \in \mathbb{R},\ f'(x) = \cos x$.
If $x \in \left[-\pi ; -\frac{\pi}{2}\right] \cup \left[\frac{\pi}{2}; \pi\right]$, $\cos x \le 0$ therefore $f'(x) \le 0$ and if $x \in \left[-\frac{\pi}{2}; \frac{\pi}{2}\right]$, $\cos x \ge 0$ therefore $f'(x) \ge 0$.

Graphical representation:
$f$ is odd so its representative curve $\mathcal{C}_f$ is symmetrical with respect to the origin of the coordinate system.
Paridad:
$\forall x \in \mathbb{R},\ f(-x) = \sin(-x) = -\sin x = -f(x)$ entonces $f$ es impar.
Periodicidad:
