- $\cos(x + 2k\pi) = \cos x$ et $\sin(x + 2k\pi) = \sin x$, $k \in \mathbb{Z}$
$$\cos 45^\circ = \frac{AB}{AC} = \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}} = \frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}$$
$$\sin 45^\circ = \frac{BC}{AC} = \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}} = \frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}$$
Donc $CH = \sqrt{AC^2 - AH^2} = \sqrt{1 - \left(\frac{1}{2}\right)^2} = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}$
$$\cos 60^\circ = \frac{AH}{AC} = \frac{\frac{1}{2}}{1} = \frac{1}{2} \quad \text{et} \quad \sin 60^\circ = \frac{CH}{AC} = \frac{\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}}{1} = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}$$
$$\cos 30^\circ = \frac{CH}{CA} = \frac{\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}}{1} = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2} \quad \text{et} \quad \sin 30^\circ = \frac{AH}{CA} = \frac{\frac{1}{2}}{1} = \frac{1}{2}$$

COSINE AND SINE OF A REAL NUMBER
By using the wrapping of the real number line onto the trigonometric circle, the definitions of sine and cosine of an acute angle are extended to any real number.
Definition 1:
Let $x$ be any real number and $M$ the point on the trigonometric circle associated with $x$.
- The cosine of the real number $x$, denoted $\cos x$, is the abscissa of point $M$ in the frame $(O, I, J)$.
- The sine of the real number $x$, denoted $\sin x$, is the ordinate of point $M$ in the frame $(O, I, J)$.
Property 1:
For any real number $x$:
- $-1 \leq \cos x \leq 1$ and $-1 \leq \sin x \leq 1$
- $\cos^2 x + \sin^2 x = 1$
- $\cos(x + 2k\pi) = \cos x$ and $\sin(x + 2k\pi) = \sin x$, $k \in \mathbb{Z}$
Calculation of remarkable values:
- $I (1, 0)$ so $\cos 0 = 1$ and $\sin 0 = 0$
- $J (0, 1)$ so $\cos \frac{\pi}{2} = 0$ and $\sin \frac{\pi}{2} = 1$
$ABCD$ is a square of side $1$ so $AC = \sqrt{2}$.
$(AC)$ is the bisector of $\widehat{BAD}$ so $\widehat{BAC} = 45^\circ$.
$$\cos 45^\circ = \frac{AB}{AC} = \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}} = \frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}$$
$$\sin 45^\circ = \frac{BC}{AC} = \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}} = \frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}$$
$ABC$ is an equilateral triangle of side $1$ so $\widehat{BAC} = 60^\circ$.
$(CH)$ is the axis of symmetry of $ABC$ so $AH = \frac{1}{2}$, $\widehat{ACH} = 30^\circ$ and $ACH$ is a right triangle at $H$.
Thus $CH = \sqrt{AC^2 - AH^2} = \sqrt{1 - \left(\frac{1}{2}\right)^2} = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}$
$$\cos 60^\circ = \frac{AH}{AC} = \frac{\frac{1}{2}}{1} = \frac{1}{2}$$
$$\sin 60^\circ = \frac{CH}{AC} = \frac{\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}}{1} = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}$$
